About me

Hi my name is Walter Torezan Junior, i am 21 years old and i've born and raised in Brazil, where i live and work as a 3d artist.
I started my interest in digital art when i was a ten years old boy who loved to draw characters on my notebook at school, and in the some time i started to study music and i was having violin and piano classes on the weekends, i think it gave me an insight in how wonderful art could be,after a few years when i was 18 my family gave me my first laptop, and it burned inside me the desire of creating games and characters, but i was really noob about digital art and i had a real hard time trying to learn 3D, in my former studies i had many problems to understand 3d softwares and the concept of art itself.
After a few attempts on 3d, i tried to follow another branch of digital art: web designer, as a web designer i worked for an universitary web blog group of students called 4Eventss, creating some HTML corrections and some videos and animations using softwares like Blender {hopefully i was getting a hang on this software at that time}and windows live movie and maker, everything was really "rough" but after this work i saw how enjoyable 3d may be, and then the desire of keeping the "3d road" sparked in me one more time. I was always in love with games and 3d characters and my best wish was: creating characters for life.
Then i decided to give a Blender 3D a new try, after some sad months trying to create some 3d art the only thing i could create with perfection was a simple cube and a sphere :) . I was staring of thinking there was something wrong with me, i always followed many incredible artists and i was used to see them creating amazing works and i asked to myself: Why can i create things like them do?. It was when i decided to see tutorials in the web, i followed many tutorials from many artists and reading several 3d art books along my studies, and at last i realized it...i needed to understand the concept of art first.
Then after a few years  studying many tutorials, getting a better grasp of softwares like 3s max, Zbrush and Blender, and trying to work more my artistic side i could improve my skill on modeling, texturing and in 3d art itself.
It was when i saw a 3d character contest in a 3d site, and i decided to test my skill and i got into this contest, the idea of that contest was: creating a character from scratch and animate it, it was a little hard for me because i've never mede animation at that time, but that some feeling of trying this new world was burning inside, then i sudied a lot in order to understand animation and character modeling.
I've spent 3 months in this project {almost giving up at the end} but i finished my character and i've got the third place in this contest, and it made me feel sure i was in the right way.
Well after this i could create more and more things on 3d and 2d, and slowly everything looked more natural and made more sense for me, and now i can create better characters and 3d models, of course the study for a artist  is like the air in my lungs, without that i can never go on, i try to learn new tools, new technologies and new art concepts in order to improve my own art, with patience, love in what you do and hard work we can have incredible results, then that is it about me i hope you liked the short history of my career!!!   :)
Thank you for reading.
